Production Introduction

straumann multiunit is a screw-retained abutment, which is suitable for multi-tooth pontic restoration. According to the long-axis of the implant with multiunit abutment , it can also be divided into a straight multi unit abutment and angled abutment.

Is a very important part of the dental implant system, and used to connect the implant and the crown.

Simply speaking, the abutment is the part that connects the implant and the crown. It is an indispensable and important component and has the functions of retention, anti-torsion and positioning.

From a professional point of view, the abutment is an auxiliary device for the implant, which will extend to the outside of the gum, form the gum part and is used to fix the crown.

Note:If some implants themselves contain a complete transgingival part, there is no need to use abutments

However, there are many types of abutments and  complicated classification.Usually we call them ordinary abutments and multi unit abutments.

Ordinary abutment is also named as cemented abutment, which can be used for single dental repair.

The surface retention of the cemented-retained abutment depends on the surface texture, the type of drill used for preparation, the type and thickness of the adhesive.

If you want a better retention effect, you can also roughen the abutment surface in the mouth, or perform sandblasting on the abutment surface in the processing center.

According to the long axis of implant with abutment, it can be divided into straight multi unit abutment and angle multi unit abutment
